About this Atlanta Charity Sports Event
Join recreational and former professional cyclists Mari Holden and Kevin Livingston at the Ride for Research to support the search for a cure for pediatric cancer. Recreational cyclists from all over the Southeast who have raised the minimum $250 commitment will ride parts of Stage 1 of Tour de Georgia, the same route the professionals ride. Presented by AT&T, this event directly benefits the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Georgia Cancer Coalition.

Event Overview
- Optional twenty-seven and forty-two mile loops starting and finishing at West Chatham Middle School in Pooler, GA
- Refreshment stops along the route
- Reception for participants at West Chatham Middle School
- Participation requires a $50 online credit card payment and an obligation to raise a minimum $200 via check, money order, cash or credit card to meet the minimum $250 commitment
- All donations are nonrefundable

Fundraising Incentive Levels
$250 minimum donation/entry fee: Official event dry-fit shirt
$500: Official dry-fit shirt and one ticket to the Kick-Off Savannah Gala
$750: Official dry-fit shirt and two tickets to the Kick-Off Savannah Gala
$1000: All of the above, plus two hospitality tickets to the exclusive hospitality area during Stage 1 (Savannah April 21)
$2500: All of the above, plus Official Tour de Georgia Yellow Leader's Jersey
$5000+: All of the above, plus one Caravan Ride for Stage 1 (April 21) and opportunity for two people to join the official Athlete Team Meal on Sunday, April 20
Event Details
- Registration packet pick-up is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 19, at the Tour de Georgia race office located at the Tybee Island Ocean Plaza Resort
- Ride day registration/packet pick-up be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Sunday, April 20 at West Chatham Middle School
- Rules of the road required by participants and enforced by event organizers
- Riders must wear an ANSI-approved helmet
- Ride will be held rain or shine
