About this Atlanta Charity Sports Event

The Tour de Kids 5K Run/Walk gives participants the unique opportunity to participate in the second largest cycling event in the world - the Tour de Georgia - while giving back to the community.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, a national leader among childhood cancer, hematology and blood and marrow transplant programs.

 Registration Options and Fees

Mail-in registration must be postmarked by Monday, April 21, 2008. 
Fees: 
Adult - $20.00
Child - $15.00 (16 and younger)
Family of 4 (2 adults/2 children) $55.00 - each additional child $15.00

Online registration- (powered by active.com)- to register and submit your credit card payment.  Online registration closes at midnight (EST) on Thursday, April 24, 2008.

In-store registration at Big Peach Running Co. - Tuesday, April 1, 2008 - Friday, April 25, 2008.

Take your completed entry form or pick one up at the store along with your entry fee to one of the locations listed below.  Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted.  Both stores are open from 10:00am - 8:00pm Monday - Friday and 9:00am - 6:00pm on Saturday.

Please NOTE:  All pre-registered participants can pick-up their race number on race day beginning at 7:00 a.m. at the runner registration tent in Centennial Olympic Park.


Phantom Runner
If you cannont be present on race day, but would like to support Children's and receive a race T-shirt, become a Phantom Racer.  You will not be entered as a runner, however, you will be mailed a race T-shirt following the event.

All Ages - $25.00

Race Day Registration is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. at the runners registration tent in Centennial Olympic Park.  
Fees: 
Adults - $25.00
Child -  $15.00 (16 and younger)

Be sure and purchase your official Tour de Georgia runners hat, sponsored by Waffle House with 100% of hat sale proceeds benefiting Children's.

Awards

All participants will receive a short-sleeve Tour de Kids T-shirt.  Shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered entrants and must be picked up following the race.  If you cannot make it on race day, give your number to a friend and have them pick up your shirt for you.  WE CANNOT MAIL T-SHIRTS (except to Phantom Runners).

Awards will be presented to overall and masters M/F winners.  We will also present M/F age group awards in 14 categories from 10 and younger to 70 and older.

NOTE:  There are no other awards distributed for this event.  Results will be available online.

Parking, MARTA and Other Transportation

We strongly recommend that you take MARTA to the event.  Getting to Centennial Olympic Park is easy when riding MARTA.  Take the West Line to the Philips Arena/Dome/GWCC Station (W-1), or take the North Line to Peachtree Center (N-1), and follow the signs to Centennial Olympic Park.  Learn more about MARTA by visiting their website.
