Pediatric Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Recognizing physicians as lifelong learners, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta strives to provide them with valuable pediatric continuing medical education (CME) opportunities as well as effective resources. The Continuing Education Department at Children's designs and coordinates conferences and workshops for healthcare professionals.
The Continuing Education Department delivers a variety of professional education to the Children's clinical staff and physicians as well as external healthcare providers through:
- CME: Children's is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
- Continuing nursing education: Children's is an approved provider of continuing nursing education through the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credit Commission on Accreditation.
- Children's also provides pediatric continuing education opportunities to healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, echocardiography sonographers, respiratory therapists and other clinical professionals.
