Pediatric Heart Surgeons

The Children’s Sibley Heart Center presents the cardiothoracic surgery team of the most comprehensive pediatric cardiac program in Georgia and the largest in the Southeast.

These pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons work in conjunction with our six pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists work in conjunction with the 37 pediatric cardiologists comprising Sibley Heart Center Cardiology.

Other multidisciplinary team include nurse coordinators, cardiopulmonary perfusionists, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants nutritionists, social workers, psychologists, child life specialists, chaplains and other ancillary specialists.

Each of the following surgeons—along with more than 300 trusted professionals and support staff—combine their resources and expertise to create a unique program of pediatric cardiac care at the Children's Sibley Heart Center.

  • Has participated in numerous research endeavors through Emory University School of Medicine in association with the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health
  • Completed fellowships at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Thoracic Surgery); The Brompton Hospital, London, England (Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery); and Harefield Hospital, London, England (Thoracic Transplantation and Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery)
  • Has delivered more than 50 national and international scientific presentations and has written award-winning publications

  • Received a research grant from the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation to evaluate the molecular and genetic changes underlying pulmonary vascular modeling
