Giving You the CHANCE to Succeed
The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Nursing Commitment to Employment and Study program, or CHANCES, was created to provide tuition equivalent assistance through nursing scholarships for selected candidates. By joining the exciting world of pediatric nursing at one of the largest pediatric healthcare facilities in the country, you're opening the door to a rewarding professional career.
- Applicant must be accepted into a nursing program
- Selected applicants will receive tuition equivalent assistance up to $16,000 per academic year, for up to two years
- Upon graduation from nursing school, recipients will be committed to work as a Registered Nurse for Children’s for 18 months for each academic year of support received
Applicants are asked to provide:
- A completed online application and questionnaire due on or before May 1, 2010
- A verified minimum 3.0 GPA
- Two letters of recommendation
- A resume or work/volunteer history (please attach to your online application)
- An essay (500 words or less) on the following topics (please attach to your online application): What inspired you to become a pediatric nurse? Describe what it means to you to be a professional pediatric nurse?
You may also be evaluated on a personal interview conducted by the Children's Scholarship Committee.
