Beth Howell
Senior Vice President, Academic Administration
Beth Howell is Senior Vice President of Academic Administration at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and also serves as Executive Director of Emory-Children’s Center. She leads the expanding efforts related to research and teaching.
Prior to Children’s, Howell worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. Howell joined Children’s in 1990 to assist with program planning. She became Chief Compliance Officer in 2001, was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Oversight in 2004 and became Senior Vice President of Academic Administration in 2008.
A native of Atlanta, Howell earned her bachelor’s degree from Agnes Scott College. She and her husband, Bob, live in Atlanta. They have a son, Andy, who attends college.
