  • One of the first pediatric hospitals in the United States to perform three pediatric heart transplants in 24 hours*
  • Performed more than 475 pediatric kidney transplants, which makes Children’s one of only a few hospitals for children to reach such a milestone*
  • In 2009, Children's performed 126 transplants: 19 liver transplants, 13 heart transplants, 32 kidney transplants and 62 BMTs

Our pediatric organ transplant programs, including liver, heart and kidney, are located at the Children’s Carlos and Marguerite Mason Transplant Center located at Children’s at Egleston. The Center provides full pre- and post-transplant outpatient services in one centralized location. Blood and marrow transplantation is offered at the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service of Children’s, one of the country’s leading childhood cancer and blood disorders programs.

At our children's hospital, it is our mission to provide every patient family with the finest in comprehensive treatment. We treat every child not just as a patient, but as a person.
