About this Atlanta Charity Event
Tune in for the seventh annual Star 94 Cares for kids radiothon on Nov. 12-14. Hosted once again by Cindy and Ray, the radiothon will broadcast live from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. This year, they will be joined by Heather, the mid-day voice of Star 94, and Darik, host of Darik at Night. You can expect to hear more inspirational stories and words of courage from patients and their families at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
We would like your help to make this year's radiothon a successful event. We have a new Change Bandit program that we have started. As Change Bandits for the Star 94 Cares for Kids Radiothon, you would collect change (or dollar bills or checks) from family and friends. The change you collect will help us kick off the Radiothon on Nov. 12 and will help to make miracles happen for sick and injured children—while also giving you an opportunity to realize the potential to make a difference in the life of another child. All of the funds raised through the Change Bandit program will stay right here in our community to help our kids. Through special programs, life-saving equipment and cutting-edge research, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta strives to help children get well—so they can go back to being kids.
Thank you, Atlanta! The amazing stories of how Children’s made a difference in the lives of patients and their families inspired many of you. Thousands of our listeners dug deep—and donated more than $825,000 to Children’s in 2008. During the past six years, the Star 94 Cares for Kids Radiothon has raised more than $6.6 million for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!
