Assistive Technology Center

The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Assistive Technology (CHAAT) Center offers leading-edge tools to enhance the lives of children.

The interdisciplinary team of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists at the Children’s Assistive Technology Center are specially trained to teach children and adolescents up to age 21 how to regain their independence. With an extensive inventory of equipment, comprehensive evaluations and advanced technology, we can help rebuild the skills that children need to feel like a kid again. We understand that every child is unique. Family-centered care is at the core of what we do. Our team considers family, education and community needs when deciding assistive technology options. Our ultimate goal is for each child to achieve maximum independence and rebuild the everyday skills that matter most.
