Metro Aviation Inc. conducts all flights and exercises sole operational control over all aircraft. |
Children’s has a fleet of uniquely designed ambulances. Each ambulance is a mobile intensive care unit with the same quality of equipment found in the Children’s neonatal and/or pediatric Intensive Care Units. The ambulances are tailored to the unique needs of children.
For instance, the vehicles are large enough to accommodate parents who accompany their child.
At the physician’s request, we also provide air ambulance service via helicopter and airplanes staffed by our Transport Team.
The emergency vehicles are funded by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Friends, our volunteer organization.
