Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program
The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sibley Heart Center, in conjunction with the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and the Todd Franklin Cardiac Research Laboratory, is committed to training future pediatric cardiologists through our Fellowship program at Children’s at Egleston.
The Children’s Sibley Heart Center is ranked No. 3 among the top pediatric cardiac programs in the nation by Child magazine and Children's is the only pediatric hospital in the nation listed as one of Fortune magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For."
Fellows at the Children’s Sibley Heart Center are exposed to a large and diverse patient population with congenital and acquired pediatric heart disease. The Cardiology Fellowship program was accredited, without citations, by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in 2003. The program is maintained by a medical director and by committees of pediatric and cardiac faculty.

- Develop decision-making skills
- Participate in the performance and interpretation of invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing
- Become the primary caretaker while rotating in the cardiology clinical services
- Learn to talk to families about the new diagnosis of congenital heart disease and its ramifications
- Communicating with patient families about evolving changes in their child's disease
