The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta recently announced the recipients the prestigious Laura Snitzer Boozer Nursing Award. This award honors nurses who have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in pediatric cancer care and provides financial support for continued education in the field of oncology.

In addition, the Children’s Sibley Heart Center ranked No.5 among pediatric cardiac programs, and the Aflac Cancer Center ranked No. 10 among pediatric cancer programs nationwide.

he Michael P. Fisher Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston received the Gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence, a national award given by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

Landing at No. 46, Children’s is the only hospital in Georgia to appear on the list, Children’s is among just three companies with headquarters in Georgia and is one of only two pediatric hospitals to make the list.
