For a child with heart problems or a transplant, going to school can be tough. On July 28, 2012 the Kids at Heart Program, in collaboration with the Children's School Program, presented the 2nd Annual Navigating the School System Seminar. Experts helped attendees find the right school resources for their children, including:
- How to speak up for your child
- Parents and students' rights
- How to get services
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
