CHOA Opens Urgent Care Center in Hudson Bridge Shopping Center
STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (August 1, 2012)—Starting today, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will begin treating patients at its new Hudson Bridge Urgent Care Center in Stockbridge. The new 8,000-square-foot space is Children’s southernmost location and provides outpatient services, including immediate care, X-ray and laboratory services.
With a large pediatric population and easy interstate access to surrounding counties, expansion into Henry County was a natural fit for Children’s, which is already one of the largest pediatric providers in the United States. Children’s at Hudson Bridge is one of 17 neighborhood locations in the Children’s system, which also includes three hospitals—Children’s at Egleston, Children’s at Hughes Spalding and Children’s at Scottish Rite—and the Marcus Autism Center. Located off Hudson Bridge Road, the new location will also serve families in Clayton, Spalding, Butts, Fayette and surrounding counties.
“Whether you’re the parent of a teen athlete or a toddler with the flu, you’ll find staff at Children’s at Hudson Bridge with years of extra training to treat the full range of pediatric health issues,” said Linda Cole, vice president of ambulatory services at Children’s. “In choosing Hudson Bridge Crossing for this location, our goal was to provide parents in Henry County and the surrounding area immediate access to advanced pediatric care. The enthusiastic welcome we’ve received has only increased our excitement about calling Henry County home.”
From physicians and technologists who have years of pediatric training to child-sized blood pressure cuffs, everything in the facility was designed to help children from infancy through age 21. The uniquely equipped Urgent Care Center has a pediatrician on staff, fast track programs to shorten wait and treatment times for children with less serious illnesses or injuries, on-site lab and X-ray services for quick diagnosis, and access to the Children’s network of 1,600 doctors trained in more than 30 pediatric specialties. Children’s is committed to getting patients home and better faster.
Children’s at Hudson Bridge is located at 1510 Hudson Bridge Road in Stockbridge. The facility is open every day and walk-in patients are welcome from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. For more information, visit www.choa.org/urgentcare or call 404-785-8660.
