Joyce Ramsey Coleman is Chief Nurse Executive at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She oversees all nursing areas, including 400 employees and total patient revenue budgets of $130 million.
Joyce has served in various nursing and administrative roles at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta throughout her 21-year career. In her current role, Joyce is a leader in the development and execution of a strategic plan for quality with a goal of being a nationally recognized provider of children's healthcare. Under her guidance, Children's has demonstrated excellence in customer service with a 90th percentile ranking. In addition, Joyce has helped achieve nurse retention rates at 90 percent and vacancy rates of less than 5 percent.
Joyce is the chairperson for the Commission of Workplace Advocacy for the Georgia Nurses Association, 2005 to 2007. She is also a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Joyce earned a master of business administration from Kennesaw State University and a master of science in nursing from Georgia State University. She also graduated from Brenau University with a bachelor of science in nursing.
Joyce resides in Marietta with her husband, Jim, and son, Jay.
